Mark and Erin were thrilled with the popularity of their popcorn. After two years of giving it away for free, Erin and their kids, J.T. and Grace, encouraged Mark to sell it. In 2013, Pop Daddy became Mark's full-time job, with "Bold Snacks made with Big Heart" as the company's foundation. Initially, Pop Daddy Snacks operated out of a shared 1,200-square-foot bakery in Highland, MI, where various foods were made. Despite minimal sales and no income, they managed to stay afloat by sharing the rent with three tenants found through Craigslist.
After Pop Daddy began to see success, they finally moved to their own 4,500 square-foot facility in Whitmore Lake, MI, eventually expanding that space to 9,100 square-feet over the following years. It is then, the momentum really started to take off. Over the new next few years, they were able to focus on distribution expansion.
The seasoned pretzel line was born in 2018 when Erin's cousin brought homemade seasoned pretzels as a gift. The family loved them, and Mark's colleagues convinced him to package and sell them. Now, these pretzels have become a pantry staple for many families and is one of the largest selling seasoned pretzels in the snack market. Pop Daddy Snacks offers many bold and unique seasoned pretzel flavors such as Thai Honey Curry and Dill Pickle.
In 2024, Pop Daddy Snacks expanded their lineup by adding Kettle Chips, continuing their mission to dominate the snack world with bold flavors. Today, they offer 8 unique popcorn flavors, 12 bold seasoned pretzel flavors, and 5 Kettle Chip varieties, available in over 30,000 U.S. retail locations and across 4 countries, all produced in their 57,000-square-foot facility in Howell, MI.
